Care for Voice and Melody
Tips for Maintaining a Healthy Voice:
- Be Cautious with Tea, Coffee, and Soft Drinks: Consume tea, coffee, and soft drinks in moderation.
- Stay Hydrated: Develop the habit of drinking at least eight to ten glasses of water every
day.
- Avoid Smoking: Quit smoking, as it significantly increases the risk of vocal cord cancer.
- Proper Speaking Technique: Use your diaphragm muscles when speaking. Let your lungs assist in producing sound, reducing strain on your vocal cords.
- Avoid Spicy Foods: Spicy foods increase stomach acid, which can lead to reflux affecting your throat.
- Maintain Humidity: Keep indoor humidity around 30%. Use a humidifier if necessary.
- Avoid Unnecessary Strain on Your Voice: Do not strain your voice unnecessarily. If your throat is sore, try to speak less and avoid singing.
- Regular Hand Washing: Wash your hands frequently to reduce the risk of colds and flu.
- Avoid Long Phone Conversations with the Receiver on Your Neck: Do not hold the phone receiver with your neck for extended periods.
- Avoid Fatigue: Fatigue can negatively impact your voice, so ensure you get enough rest and take care of your overall health.
