Tips for Maintaining a Healthy Voice:

  1. Be Cautious with Tea, Coffee, and Soft Drinks: Consume tea, coffee, and soft drinks in moderation.
  2. Stay Hydrated: Develop the habit of drinking at least eight to ten glasses of water every

day.

  1. Avoid Smoking: Quit smoking, as it significantly increases the risk of vocal cord cancer.
  2. Proper Speaking Technique: Use your diaphragm muscles when speaking. Let your lungs assist in producing sound, reducing strain on your vocal cords.
  3. Avoid Spicy Foods: Spicy foods increase stomach acid, which can lead to reflux affecting your throat.
  4. Maintain Humidity: Keep indoor humidity around 30%. Use a humidifier if necessary.
  5. Avoid Unnecessary Strain on Your Voice: Do not strain your voice unnecessarily. If your throat is sore, try to speak less and avoid singing.
  6. Regular Hand Washing: Wash your hands frequently to reduce the risk of colds and flu.
  7. Avoid Long Phone Conversations with the Receiver on Your Neck: Do not hold the phone receiver with your neck for extended periods.
  8. Avoid Fatigue: Fatigue can negatively impact your voice, so ensure you get enough rest and take care of your overall health.
